Rachel SPILMAN Obituary
(Albaugh) 92, of Tarpon Springs, passed away January 8, 2017. She attended Florida Southern College and was a member of Florida Republican Women and Tarpon Springs Historical Society, Old Timer's Club and First United Methodist Church. She was an avid pianist and organist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her daughter, Diana Spilman; daughter-in-law, Janet Spilman; brother, Earl Albaugh; sisters, Emily Pitts, Edith Detamore. She is survived by her four sons, Thomas (Pat), Tim (Stephanie), Lawrence, and Alan; nine grandchildren, Jonathan, David, Daniel, Robin, Georgi, Keith, Melissa, Teresa, Chris; and her one great-grandson, Victor. Graveside service at 11 am on Saturday, January 14, at the Cycadia Cemetery.

This is what I think of when I think of Aunt Raye ... she's the one just to the right of my grandmother (sitting center). What a beauty! So many wonderful memories, including a lesson in the parking lot at Mount Vernon on how to eat potato chips without getting crumbs in Uncle Walter's car. Sadly, only the two littlest ones in the front are still with us; I was born shortly after this was taken. Life must move on, but sometimes I wish it wouldn't. Sincere condolences to Tom, Tim, Larry and Alan.
