Ralph Fernandez Obituary

FERNANDEZ, Ralph S., age 65, of Tampa, passed away to the arms of our lord December 10, 2003. Mr. Fernandez retired from the City of Tampa Fire Department after 22 years of service and Hills- borough County Fire Department after 18 years of service and was a member of UNICO. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Francisco "Fipo" Fernandez and Antonia "Nina" Salario Fernandez. Survivors include his loving wife, Brenda; loving children: his daughter, Gina M. Burkhardt and husband Ron "R.B."; his son, Ralph Eugene Fernandez and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Brad and Erica Burkhardt and Fabian and Shane Fernandez; sister, Balbina Lopez; brother, Manuel Fernandez; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock from the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Garden of Memories. Pallbearers include, Fabian L. Fernandez, Raul Roque, Tony Salario, Willie Lopez, Ron Burkhardt, Angelo Perez, Anthony Escobio, Frank Farfante, Gilbe rt Martinez, Tom Kasper, Anthony Verducci, Fred Haislop and Benny Ciccarello. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hillsborough County Firefighters Charities, Widow and Children's Fund, 104 W. Country Club Drive, Tampa, FL 33612 in memory of Mr. Fernandez. Ralph took pride in raising his family and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by his family. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the chapel of GONZALEZ FUNERAL HOME Julio & Adolfo Gonzalez-Roel 7209 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. (813) 931-1833
