Ray Cannick Obituary

CANNICK, Ray Roman, 94, of Spring Hill, Fla., diedThursday, June 22, 2006, at Forest Oaks Care Center, Spring Hill, Fla. He was born in Chicago Heights, Ill. and moved here from Holiday in 1997. He was a retired construction worker in the building construction industry and an amateur boxer with the Golden Gloves in the Chicago, Ill. area. He was a Catholic by faith and a former member Loyal Order of the Moose Tarpon Springs Lodge 1429, Holiday. He was a Little League umpire in Tarpon Springs for many years and later was an umpire for the Men and Women Adult Softball League for Pasco County in New Port Richey. He is survived by his son, Ray G. Caniecki of New Port Richey; daughters, Phyllis Woods of Spring Hill, Fla. and Darlene Laughery of Brooksville, Fla.; sisters, Ann Piazza, Mary Blackwell, Helen Kruzbard and Rose Cioe; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
