McGINNIS, Robert G. "Bob" On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, Robert "Bob" G. McGinnis, loving husband and father passed away at age 87. He was born January 22, 1934 in Goshen, NY. He served in the U.S Army until 1954, he was then employed with General Telephone Company for almost 40 years. Married to his wife, Salina, on December 31, 1960, they raised three children a daughter, Catherine and two sons, Christopher and Patrick. Robert maintained a passion for racing and rebuilding cars and motorcycles as well as jazz music throughout his entire life. He will be remembered always for his quick wit, wry sense of humor, infectious smile, and above all a compassionate spirit for everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy, his mother, Hullen and his wife Salina. He is survived by his three children. A funeral service with military honors will be held Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Bay Pines National Cemetery at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., St. Petersburg, FL 33708 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be sent to The Special Olympics.
