Cant believe its been 8 years since you passed away. Ed was a great leader at AAA and treated everyone like family. He was more concerned about your personal life more than the numbers which made him liked by all. Hope you are looking down on us from heaven. Your friend, Bernie

Integrity, selflessness, caring, mentor, friendship, Christian, memories, guidance, unconditional love, true passion for life, Godly, respect, angel on earth, loving, best boss, motivator, strong, bright shining star, inspiring, true brother, gentle spirit, honesty, encouragement, kind, special, class act, giving, fair, professionalism, generous, character, laughter, leadership, giant of a man, compassion, honorable, remarkable, great man, good times, humanitarian, best friend, genuine, winning smile, asset, credibility, joyful spirit, good friend, admiration, wonderful, big heart, role model.

Is it possible that all of the above words can describe one man? Yes. Every single one was used in the different messages to Ed’s wife and boys describing Ed. And every single one of them is completely accurate and true.

There is just no limit to the wonderful things to be said about what a truly awesome person Ed was, but these are the four I will close with… warm spirit, sense of humor, super human being, and LEGACY.

You will forever be missed, Ed. There is just no comparison.

Ed:
Words alone can not express the moments in a person’s life where the sprite of one connects so directly with God’s plan. Ed, you were, one of God’s special people, placed here for such a short time not only to lead or teach but to encourage and to be ever present in the wonder of God’s love. Ed was truly an Angel on earth, sent from heaven to show us the right way to live. Ed, thank you for your encouragement and strength, your compassion and conviction. You have established the goals of many to achieve and strive. May the strength you taught us continue to sustain your family during this time and may you be at peace in your new home with God. You made a difference in the lives of many and you shall be missed.

We were very saddened by Ed's passing. He was a kind and professional man, who we had the upmost respect for. May he rest in peace. We are certain he went straight to heaven and God must have desperately needed his help there to take him so suddenly. Our thought and prayers go out to his family.

Ed was truly a loyal friend ,to Scouting, and so many in St Petersburg. . Ed did more in his 60 years for others and the community than dozens combined do in their lifetimes. He was truly an amazing man, someone who I looked up to. Rest in peace my good friend, you will be missed by more folks than you could ever have imagined. Respectfully, Jeff Francis

Words can not begin to express the emptiness I felt at hearing of the passing of such a fine gentleman. I will be forever greatful for the personal attention he showed me while I worked at AAA. May God watch over the people whom you made an empact on while they go through this hour of sorrowness.

My heartfelt prayers go out to the Schatzman family. I had the pleasure of working with Ed at AAA and he was truly one of a kind. A motto was to treat fellow employees and members like family and although this may have been a catchphrase for some people, this was Ed's way of life. You will be sorely missed and I am just thankful I had a chance to meet you.
