From 1956 until his retirement in 1978, he was a senior information counselor for the American Management Association in New York City. While living there he met the love of his life, Dorothy Kaufman, and they were married January 26, 1988. Later that year, they moved to Belleair, FL. He is survived by his step granddaughter, Lisa Field of Bancroft, ME and by many friends who have loved and respected him through the years. Robert was an eternal optimist and leaves behind the legacy of his caring, loving, and gentle spirit. His remains are donated to the College of Medicine, University of Florida.

One of the few last true gentlemen and our lives [mine, my husband, and both sons] were so much better for having had him come into our lives. Will always cherish memories of the time we spent with him.
