Roger WATKINS Obituary

WATKINS, Roger "Doc"

succumbed to complications of heart disease on April 20 at the age of 66. The only child or Lewis T. and Edith (Mullins) Watkins, he enlisted in the Navy upon graduation from Ridge High School in Cambridge, MA. He received his undergraduate degree from Boston State College and graduate degree from Tufts University. He was a college administrator at Boston University, Tufts University, Lehigh University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he retired in August after 28 years. He leaves his loving wife of 31 years, Pat Watkins, and his son, Alex Watkins, also a Navy veteran. Visitation followed by a celebration of life will take place on Friday, April 24, from 5:30-8:30 pm at the Reese Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association is preferred.
