Roy GARNER Obituary
77, of Weeki Wachee, Florida passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018. He was born in Goldsboro, Maryland to Rayburn and Olive Garner. In 1987, he graduated from Trinity Bible College and found his passion as a teacher at Hernando Christian Academy. Roy later took the helm as Hernando Christian Academy's Principal/Administrator while also becoming an adjunct professor for Trinity Bible College and being very active in prison ministries. Roy's legacy continued as he helped establish and open West Hernando Christian Academy, becoming their first Principal/Administrator. His career in Christian leadership eventually landed him as pastor of Garden Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brooksville and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores A. Garner. Visitation will be 11 am-1 pm, Sunday, September 16, 2018. Funeral service will follow at 1pm all located at Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Dr., Spring Hill, FL 34609. Committal service will be at Florida Hill Memorial Garden in Spring Hill. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Hope Children's Home, 11415 Hope International Drive, Tampa, Florida 33625, (913) 961-1214.
