Russell MANTZ

MANTZ, Russell 71, of St. Petersburg, died at home Sept. 1, 2012, after a short battle with a rare liver disease. Russ was the successful business owner for over 40 years of Coastal Medical; selling home health care products along with oxygen delivery and Independent Medical Associates (IMA); selling critical care products to hospitals in the southeast and was the founder of Zefon International; a manufacturer of environmental and medical products. Russell will be sadly missed by his loving wife Jeanne; his cherished boys, Mark, Scott (Paula), and Jeffrey (Alicia); 6 precious grandchildren, Ashley, Kristina, Katie, Kaley, Lauren, and Kyle; beloved sister, MaryLou Funk (Jack); sister-in-law, Carol Mantz along with all of his wonderful nieces, nephews and special friends. Preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Mary, brother Bob and sister Janet. Russ was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club for over 45 years. He was a devoted husband and caring father and grandfather. He loved being in the outdoors working in his gardens, tending to his cars, or boating on the waters of Boca Ciega Bay. Regardless, whether it be Florida or at his summer home in Black Mountain, NC, you could find him working on one of the unique and complex puzzles in his vast collection. Visitation Friday Sept. 7, 2012, from 6-7:30 pm at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Martin Lutheran King St. No., St. Petersburg.
