S.C. Bexley Obituary

BEXLEY, S.C. "Bud", 73, of Land O' Lakes, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pat Bexley; sons, Clyde Solon Bexley of Oxford, Fla., Craig Bexley and wife, Debra of Tampa, Patrick Bexley and wife, Mary Kate of Land O' Lakes; brother, James P. Bexley and wife, Mable H. of Land O' Lakes; grandchildren, Bryan Bexley, Kevin Bexley and Keith Bexley, all of Tampa, Clay Bexley of Oxford, Patricia Bexley, Jessie Bexley & Corrie Bexley, all of Land O' Lakes; and brother-in-law, Mann Bailey of Oxford. Mr. Bexley served on the board of directors for the Bank of Tampa, the 1st board of directors for Pasco-Hernando Junior College, and the board of directors for SWFWMD. He was a member of Tims Memorial Presbyterian Church, the Masonic Order, and Egypt Shrine Temple. Mr. Bexley was a lifetime resident of Land O' Lakes. Pallbearers include four grandsons and two nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Derrill McAteer, Ed Mora, John Sellitto, Doug Cone, C.W. Bailey, and Charles Bever . A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church of Land O' Lakes, with Rev. Kent Crow officiating. Private Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa.
