I just recently heard of Shelli's passing. I served with Shelli in the 1980s at Marine Corp Air Station in Southern California. I was fortunate to not only know Shelli as a Marine but also on a personal level as we had mutual friends, and she became very good friends with my wife. We had not seen or corresponded with her since the early 1990s but thought of her often. Her smile and kindness are what we will always remember. It is sad to know she is no longer with us. My wife and I are grateful for the time we got to spend with Shelli. Such wonderful person. Regards Ed & Maritza Nowakowski.

Shelli was kind and loving,
i will never forget her she was always like a mom to me, i will never forget that wonderfull smile and laugh that she had brought to me through the years. We would always go together. We allways went places together she was a wonderfull daghter, sister, wife, and friend. I will miss her forever.

A chapter completed,a page turned,a life well-lived,a rest well-earned.Shelli was strong and fought until the end.She loved her family and she loved life.We have lost a valuable and loving person.Her smile and positive outlook is a lesson for everyone.She will have a place in our hearts forever.Her family has wonderful memories to help them at this time.For Rusty and Danielle--through your tears remember the good times.

I only knew Shelli from afar having worked with her at All American supporting her efforts. Always sweet, kind, & with laughter. My heart goes out to the Carter family as Shelli has left us all far too early. God bless you all.

She was an extremely nice and giving person, she always put people before her.

Rusty, Danielle, and Barb,
My deepest sympathy to all of you, and your extended family. Shelli and I worked together for almost 6 years at AA, and we clicked from the get go. The reason I believe we worked so well together was the #1 priority we shared in our lives - family! She talked about you guys non-stop, and the sparkle in her eyes when she relayed stories about Rusty's music sessions, Danielle's color guard escapades, and the visits to family in MN and SC told you everything about Shelli. She had a heart of gold, and would do anything for her friends, but SHE LIVED FOR HER FAMILY. I will cherish all of her vivid stories, and honor her memory by trying to be as passionate about life and family as Shelli was. We all will miss her infectious spirit and love of life. I hope you can take some solace knowing you folks made her about the happiest person I've ever met.

Shelli,
Since I’ve known that I was going to loose you. I’ve felt paralyzed, angry and confused. I’ve thought and hoped a thousand times that there may have been something I should of said when you where here, something I might of forgotten but I believe in my heart that its’ not too late to tell you again how important you were in my life, how much you meant and will always mean to me, and how sorely you will be missed.
I can only honor you by being the person and friend that you know I truly am. Life does goes on, but I will never forget you. You have left this world for a better place, and you’ll continue to be with me in spirit. We will continue our relationship on a whole new plane and will be together in good time. And I hope you won’t be to pestered by the fact that I plan on speaking with you often.

Shelli was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. I have many memories that I will treasure forever. When I close my eyes I can hear her laughing. She had the greatest laugh. One that made you laugh even harder. Wonderful cooked meals were enjoyed by her family and friends. Shelli was kind, compassionate and always putting the needs of others before hers. She is an angel in heaven watching over us all. My love for her will never cease and she will be greatly missed by so many. May God’s love and peace embrace the entire family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Shelli was a wonderful, funny and beautiful person. I feel lucky to have known her. I have so many great memories of Shelli. One of my fondest memories will be of all the parades that Shelli and I attended together. I can still see her with her hands grabbing the beads and sharing them with everyone around her. That was Shelli. More fun to be around then I can even say and making sure everyone else was having a good time too! Shelli will always hold a special place in my heart. Although we met in person only once, her spark/smile moved me.
Shelli was my inside sales representative; every time we spoke, she made me laugh. I had the pleasure meeting her in London, Ontario Canada at my company's 75th Aniversary (Sparton Electronics).
My thoughts and prayers are with you, as I know you must miss her dearly. Shelli was a wonderful human being.
