Stephen BRAND

BRAND, Stephen Alan "Steve" 64, passed away peacefully June 1, 2021 in Sun City Center Hospice House, Ruskin FL. Stephen was a volunteer firefighter for Borough Chemical & Truck Company #1 in West Long Branch, NJ from 1976 to 1980. He moved to Florida and became a volunteer firefighter for High Point Fire Department in Pinellas County, FL in 1980. He began his career as a firefighter with the City of Tampa Fire Department in 1981 and attained the ranks of firefighter, EMT, paramedic, driver engineer and hazardous materials technician. He was also a volunteer firefighter and assistant volunteer chief for Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Station 8 in Wimauma, FL from 1999 to 2012. He retired from the City of Tampa Fire Department after 30 years of service. Stephen enjoyed spending time with his family, playing ice hockey, roller hockey, watching Tampa Bay Lightning hockey games, hiking and cycling. Stephen will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Sandra; sons, Stephen II (Jordan), Shaun; siblings, Barbara (Michael), Louise (Henry), Wendy (Perry), Susan (Vincent), Jonathan (Tessey), Elizabeth (Jason); brother-in-law, Douglas (Tammy) and numerous extended family members and friends. Stephen was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Jesse; brothers, Jack (Elise) and Jesse Jr. (Rise). A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
