Stephen ZIELONKA Obituary

ZIELONKA, Stephen 52, died in Colorado on December 7, 2020. Born at Vandenberg AFB, CA to Paula and Carl Zielonka, he grew up in Tampa, attended Congregation Schaarai Zedek, graduated from Tampa Prep in 1986, and obtained a BBA from Tulane and MBA from Georgia State. He worked in Atlanta as Direct Marketing Coordinator for 99X and Q100.5 radio stations. In 2006, he moved to Denver as media marketer for Presslaff Interactive Revenue, recently worked for Amazon, and led a Thyroid Cancer support group. An avid fan of the Bucs, Carolina Tarheels basketball, Tulane sports, English soccer, and the Beatles, he loved Camp Coleman in Cleveland, GA where he was a camper, counselor, athletic director, and unit head. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Caryn (Amnon) Izhar; and two nephews, Noam and Shai of Newton, MA; aunts, Deborah (James) Vink of Boulder, CO and Jacqueline (Sheldon) Fleschman of Plano, TX; and many cousins and friends.
