Steven Molnar Obituary

MOLNAR, Steven Peter 77, passed away peacefully Monday, March 12, 2012 in Sun City Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claire Molnar; parents, Joseph and Mary Molnar; brothers, Larry Molnar, and Joe Molnar. Survivors include his son, John Patrick (Leslie) Molnar, of Carlsbad, CA and four grandchildren, Christian Pitalo, Danielle Owen, J.P. Molnar and Caitlin Molnar. Mr. Molnar was a resident of Sun City Center for ten years. He retired from Solvay, North America in Houston, TX where he worked in Plastics and Chemical Research & Development. Steve was a long time member, previous officer, and previous Exalted Ruler of the Elks Order, serving for many years in the North Houston, Texas Lodge, and for the past ten years at the Brandon, Florida Lodge. Steve took pride in providing a scholarship through the Elks National Foundation, which he nicknamed the "Little Stevie"...scholarship. For the last 5 years, he was a Worship Leader for Nondenominational Christian Worship Services, an all-volunteer outreach Christian ministry in Sun City Center, that provides worship services for assisted living & Alzheimer's retirement communities. Steve also spent time assisting returning Military Veterans, their families and Wounded Warriors. He supported Boy Scouts of America and the Dali Museum. A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. Visitation 1-3 pm. Serenity Meadows Memorial Park 813-677-9494 www.serenitymeadows.com
