Steven SCHEIDER Obituary

SCHEIDER, Steven John aka Cowboy, 65, born May 1957 is finally out of pain and suffering having lost his battle to cancer Sept. 9, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Wendy, aka QT; brother, Carl (Judy) Scheider, "Brother" Mark (Cindi) Pape, brothers-in-law, Randy (Deb) Patteen and Gary (Julie) Patteen. His brother Paul "Mick" Scheider preceded him in death. Steve served in the U.S. Navy for eight years, obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees, taught college level courses, travelled the world and owned his own business, but his greatest, happiest accomplishment was being Dad to Jessica (Jamey) Thompson, grandfather "PapPap" to Leslie and Jackson, and great-grandfather to Liam; uncle to several nieces and nephews, two of whom he was raised with who were more like brother and sister, Amy (Rege) Schultz and Michael (Kathy) Scheider. Steve believed "Every wake-up is a Win" and championed the motto "we Will beat this together". Per Steve's wishes he was cremated with no visitation or services following. PapPap and QT look forward to the Bible's promise of a resurrection to life on a paradise earth free of pain and death (Revelation 21:3, 4), sailing the dolphin filled waters on their houseboat, forever.

We knew this day was coming
We didn´t think it was today
When you would lose your battle
And slowly slip away

You fought a valiant battle
Day in and day out
That you´re a warrior fighter
We never had to doubt

So sleep now my dear cowboy
Until the day that you awake
Whole and healthy once again
To a lifetime of joy we will make
~ I love you Steve, my cowboy
