Sylvia Corrales Obituary

CORRALES, Sylvia Catherine de la Torre, 89, and a Tampa native passed away on March 20, 2004. She was a loving mother, grand- mother, aunt and wife of 69 years to Joseph J. (Chichi) Corrales; sons, Joseph J. and Henry; daughter, Earlene Shofi; son-in-law John D. Shofi; granddaughters, Sylvia Shofi, Sharla Shofi Seton, Charlene Mendoza and Cherise Evans; grandson, Frank Corrales; great-grandchildren, Halston Seton, Domonique and Gabriel Mendoza, Jordan Evans, and Chelsea Corrales; goddaughter, Zenaida Ellis; sisters-in-law, Josephine Sanchez, Mary Delaparte and Dr. Elvira Smith; nieces, Tanya de la Torre Alderman, Celeste Brown, Susan Stone, and Candy Beautel; nephews, Adolph Delaparte, Cliff Smith, Robert Sanchez, and Dale de la Torre; great nieces, Paula Harvey Krueger, Laura Harvey Teal and Luana Alderman Pullaro; great nephews, Lance and Kirk Alderman. Pallbearers will be John Shofi, Frank Corrales, Michael Seton, Chuck Alderman, Chuck Hollowell and Hermes Mendoza. Honorary pallbearers wi ll be Lance and Kirk Alderman, Adolph Delaparte, Alan Pullaro, Leslie Harvey, Scott Krueger, Paul Teal, and Sergio Alvarez. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery at 1 p.m. Friends may visit at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4207 E. Lake Ave. from 12 to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the charity of your choice or LifePath Hospice of Tampa.
