It is not often you come upon a soul such as this. One with so much love and acceptance, and yet absent hate and jealousy. What a wonderful person to have ever been around. It was a pleasure to have met you and loved you. You raised a wonderful family who propagate the wonderful values you taught them in spades! Rest easy knowing you were an amazing daughter, mom, wife, friend, grandma, and member of your community. You are missed already Grandma, we love you and I will not let Lily forget you!
Please accept our most sincere condolences on behalf of Curtis, Laura & Lily Jones

First, I will say, how I will miss you so mom Goshe. As I sit here and write today there are so many wonderful stories to tell as your daughter-in-law. The story that stands out first and foremost in my mind is the day I married her son David G. Goshe II. What a wonderful day. You came into the chapel as we were preparing to each walk down the aisle to exchange our vows. I can still see your face and the exact words you said to me,
" Vicky you are to never call me Sylvia or Mrs. Goshe from this day forward, I am Mom to you." Mom she was. I had the fortune of knowing Mom. Sylvia Goshe for twenty years. She always treated me as one of her kids! My heart has been heavy, but I know we will see you again, in heaven, Mom.

I will miss you Mom and I will always have warm and wonderful memories of you. You were always the one constant in my life that provided me with a sense of joy and taught me to have confidence in myself and show compassion towards others. You filled my heart with such love for you by accepting Vicky into your heart as my wife. As many people will attest to, your positive attitude and loving spirit, endeared you to all who met you. You are in my prayers everyday and your spirit lives within me. I will miss our Sunday calls, but will talk with you in church every Sunday. With loving thoughts, your son, David.

I met Sylvia while I was in high school. I had become great friends with her son Dave as a sophomore in English class, and soon I was over at Dave's house meeting his wonderful family. Sylvia was so welcoming and gracious and made me feel at ease and welcomed in her home. I remember how supportive she was of Dave in everything he did, even when he wanted to move back to California for his senior year of high school. Seeing her again at Dave and Vicky's vow renewal ceremony was a homecoming. We gave each other a big hug and picked up right where we left off, updating each other on the path our lives had taken since she had moved away from California. It was a delight being with her and the entire family! I know she is in a great place in heaven right now, and I'd like to comfort her with the following prayer: O Lord of glory! I entreat Thee, fervently and tearfully, to cast upon Thy handmaiden who hath ascended unto Thee the glances of the eye of Thy mercy. Robe her in the mantle of Thy grace, bright with the ornaments of the celestial Paradise, and, sheltering her beneath the tree of Thy oneness, illumine her face with the lights of Thy mercy and compassion.

My condolences to the Goshe family. I met Sylvia in the mid 80s on a trip to Houston with David. She and Mr Goshe welcomed me into their home as if I was a longtime friend. Things only became better when she made "Grandma's Hash" for dinner one evening. My family also has favorite recipes and dishes passed down over years. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. A kind, gracious, and loving mother and friend to many.

Good bye for now, my dearest mom. We will be together again in Heaven. The card table will be very active. Hey, maybe you might let me win a game or two of Casino up there?
I miss you more than you can ever imagine. I go to call you every day, but then realize your phone reception doesn't reach Heaven! LOVE, Julie.
