DIWADKAR, Vijay W. M.D,. passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the age of 72 in Tampa, Florida. Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Vijay studied medicine graduating from Topiwala National Medical College, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in 1974. Shortly after, he and wife, Aparna, moved to the United States settling in Tampa, Florida, where he practiced family medicine for over 40 years. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Aparna Diwadkar; three children: daughters, Runa (Craig) Watkins of Baltimore, MD and Reena (Max) Booker of Atlanta, GA and son, Sachin (Madeline) Diwadkar of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren, Jayson, Jasmine, Maya, Miraya, Max and Claudia Elena; two brothers, Jayant Diwadkar and Sanjay Diwadkar of Mumbai, India. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends and colleagues and will be most remembered for his witty sense of humor, compassion to help others and love for his family. A Hindu funeral service will be held at 11 am, Friday, February 4, 2022 at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Dr., Trinity, FL 34655.

I just found out that you were gone today. I have been thinking so much about you since you retired. So today I tried to find you. You were my doctor for about 25 years. My biggest memory of you was when I came for my check ups and the first thing you asked was had I been to my psychiatrist? After I busted up laughing, you would say that it was OK that we could proceed with the examination. You were always so kind and gentle and made sure that I saw the best doctors that were good for my conditions. I miss you so much and every MD office that I go to, I mention you and tell them how much I miss you. May you RIP, I know that you are loved and missed by many.
