Walter CAHENZLI Obituary
of Tarpon Springs, passed away Dec. 21, 2014 at the age of 81. Walter was born and educated in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1955, Walter immigrated to Canada where he met his wife and together they raised three children. In 1980, Walter and his family moved to Florida where he conducted his business of cabinet making until he retired. Walter loved wood carving, painting, cooking and travelling. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. Walter is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margrit; children, Sylvia Gray (Stephen), Beatrice, and Peter (Arleen); his brother, Bruno; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, Carina, Melanie, Eric, and Evan. A memorial service will be held
Sunday, Dec. 28, at 3 pm, at Dobies Funeral Home in Seven Springs/Trinity. 372-2550

I had only known Walter for a few months while working on his yard. During breaks, he would come outside and we would talk. He told me of his growing up in Europe, politics and life in general. He was a wise and gentle man. When I heard of his passing, I felt like I had lost a grandfather. I will miss him.
