Walter Serna

SERNA, Walter "Vlod" 84, of Palm Harbor, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Brookside Hospice. Born in Yaktoriw, Ukraine, immigrated to the U.S. in 1947. He attended technical institute in Stuttgart, Germany and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Marion; son and his wife, Stephen and Roxann Serna; daughter and her husband, Donna and Philip Goldstein; granchildren, Jasmin Hamilton, Lukas Serna, Zach and Emily Goldstein; brother and his wife, Joseph and Marie Serna; nephew and his wife, Yurij and Gayle Serna; niece, Susan Serna and many loving family members in Ukraine. There will be a visitation beginning at 9:30 am followed by Mass at 10 am at Epiphany of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, 434 90th Ave. N. St. Petersburg, FL 33702.
