Bill has since childhood loved the outdoors and especially fishing trips to Lake Okeechobee with his dad. He continued this tradition with his own sons and special friends. After a distinguished career in banking Bill, with a good friend, started Tampa Bay Sporting Clays. Bill loved this new venture which eventually became home to the General H. Norman Schwarzkopf Sporting Clay Classic to benefit the Children's Home of Tampa. Bill chaired this event for over 10 years and continued to support it to this day. Predeceased by his parents, Francis and Dorothy Arthur. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vicki; son, Scott Arthur; son, Brian Arthur (Meredith) and love of his life granddaughter, Courtney. In addition, Bill leaves his sister, Susan Arthur Croom; his brother-in-law, Trevor Cramer; and his cousins, Sandra Price and Dorothy Powell, nieces and nephews. Services will be private at St. John's Episcopal Church with Internment of Ashes in the Chapel of the Resurrection. Some ashes will return to Bill's favorite place in the world, Lake Okeechobee. Bill, I will always fondly remember the many days we spent together on the water fishing in Tampa Bay and Lake Okeechobee as well as our duck and quail hunting trips. You were a great friend who was always ready to help out. I appreciate all of the things you taught me over the years about boats, guns and everything. I will miss our long telephone conversations and tall tales about all the fish we caught. My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend.
