William Eveland Obituary

EVELAND, William P. Born Dec. 9, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY, passed away April 8, 2010. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1945, and was a graduate of Georgia Technical Institute. He was a World War II Army veteran, and was a POW and Purple Heart Recipient. A founding partner in the general construction firm Eveland Brothers, Inc. Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Nettie Eveland, sister Ella Marie Eveland, brothers, Edward H., John F., and James R. Eveland and his wife Miriam F. Eveland. He is survived by his children, Sheila M. Eveland, Maureen C. (Dave) Smith, William P. (Carrie) Eveland, and Michael M. (Rosemary) Eveland; and grandchildren, Amanda E. Young, Jeffrey B. Smith, William P. Eveland, Alex D. Eveland and Michael Kyle Eveland, all of St. Petersburg. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am, Saturday, April 17 by Rev. Vladimir Dziadek, Pastor at Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 5800 15th Ave. S, Gulfport. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER. Online Memorial & Guestbook @ www.brettfuneralhome.net
