Clay Buchanan Obituary

Clay Buchanan

Age 50, of Lefors, Texas, passed away on August 16, 2025, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. He was born on January 17, 1975, to Alan and Susan Buchanan. Clay lived his life with strength, humor, and an unwavering devotion to his faith and family. He valued his wife and children second only to God. A source of inspiration to all who knew him, Clay loved deeply and gave freely. A meticulous tradesman, he was known for his infinite skill and knowledge - able to build, repair, or fabricate anything and everything. His craftsmanship, resourcefulness, and determination left lasting marks not only on the projects he touched but also on the lives of those who worked alongside him. He was a loving husband to his wife, Mandy, and a proud father to his daughter, Zaylin, and son, Dyllen. He is survived by his wife Mandy, daughter Zaylin, and son Dyllen; his father Alan and mother Susan; his sister Kim Rosenthal; niece Kinsley and nephew Phillip; his grandmother, Claudette Caldwell; as well as his many aunts, uncles, and beloved cousins. Clay's legacy will live on through the love he shared, the inspiration he provided, and the example he set in facing life's challenges with courage and faith. His family and friends will cherish the countless memories of time spent together, whether gathered at home, cheering on his children, or simply enjoying the small moments that meant the most. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Community Crossroads Church in White Deer, Texas. Another celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Red River, New Mexico - the place Clay called home and loved the most. Clay's time on earth was too short, but the faith he carried, the love he gave, and the work of his hands will last forever.
