Lois was a dear friend and a wonderful, talented person. I knew her as a law partner at Brown and Bain, where she was greatly admired and its first woman partner. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Anne Bingaman, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Lois was the first person I met in an on-campus interview in law school, and I was so impressed that flew to Brown & Bain to interview, accepted a position in 1978 and never left. She was one of the classiest and most decent people I have ever met.

I did not know them, but was touched just reading their obituary. My sympathy to the family. How lovely for them to have shared their love for each other for 70 years. They were obviously both brilliant in their careers. The world is better because they were in it.
