David G. McElroy

David G. McElroy, of Taunton, age 75, passed away at home on December 31, 2020, with his loving family by his side. David is survived by his wife Dale (Armstrong) McElroy of Taunton. David was born in Quincy, the son of the late Joseph F. Sr. and Cecilia (Ahearn) McElroy. David attended schools in Hyde Park. He was a resident of Taunton and formerly of Raynham. David was employed as a boilermaker for local union #29. He enjoyed hockey, taking family trips, traveling, and above all cherished his time with family. David is survived by his children; David M. McElroy of Berkley, Deidre McElroy of Taunton, Dari-Ann Kent and husband Michael of Lakeville, Derek McElroy of Berkley; his siblings, Joseph McElroy Jr. and Thomas McElroy both of Brockton; his grandchildren, Kayleena, Jessica-Rose, Bryan, Alexandra, Ariana, Ryley, Austin, Mason; and his great grandchildren, Winnie and Juniper. He also leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, January 4, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church in Raynham. Burial is private at the request of the family.
