Elizabeth Welsh

Elizabeth "Betty Ann Welsh, age 63, of Westboro, formerly of Taunton, passed away on June 21, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Laurentino "Larry" and Elizabeth Costa. Betty Ann is survived by her beloved husband of over 29 years, Allan and her loving son John. She leaves her sister Susanne and her husband Kenneth Duquette. She is the aunt of Hailey and Michael Duquette and the late Kaye Duquette. A graduate of Taunton High School and Southeastern Massachusetts University, Betty Ann was a brilliant research chemist with the US ARMY DEVOM SC. She was extremely knowledgeable in her field and would often travel as an outside contractor for technical support. Betty Ann was always at the ready with her love, generosity, support, and the most logical solutions to any problem. She brought such fun to her bowling league, trips to Disney, the endless drive to Goosewing beach, and vacationing at Lake Winnipesaukee. Her family meant everything to her. Her kind and selfless spirit will forever be missed. Visiting hours are at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway at St. Marys Square in Taunton on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 2 to 5 pm with a funeral service beginning at 5 pm. Additional parking and handicapped parking are available on the north side of the funeral home. Interment will be Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 East Britannia Street, Taunton. Please meet at the main gate of the cemetery at 9:45am.
