Frank J. Como

Frank Joseph Como, age 70, resident of Lakeville, died Friday, October 7, 2016 at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, MA after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was the husband of Evelyn M. (Kinsman) Como. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Frank J. Como Sr. and the late Maude E. (Croker) Shorrock. A skilled welder by trade, Frank worked for General Dynamics at Fore River Shipyard in Quincy and then Space Metal Buildings in East Taunton. Prior to retiring, he was most recently employed by Angel View Pet Cemetery in Middleboro. Hobbies included watching old western movies, listening to 50s music, fishing, visiting the Cape Cod Canal with his wife and spending time with friends at the Lakeville COA, but Frank especially enjoyed time spent with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his wife Evelyn, survivors include son, Raymond J. Como and his wife Paula of Berkley, son, Kevin M. Como and his wife Joanne of Chichester, NH and three grandchildren Sarah N. Como, Tyler J. Como and Allison K. Como. A memorial service will be held at Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleboro on Friday, October 14th at 11am.
