Carter was my instructor, mentor, and leader at taunton high school. He taught me how to be a leader and a man, helping me through the awkward years as a teenager into adulthood. I often think back to when we arrived home from our last drill meet of the season and him announcing his retirement. I miss him very much.

Sgt. Carter, I had the honor of working with you while you selflessly taught the Jr. ROTC students at THS. You always struck me as a man who viewed his students as his extended family, and you will be fondly remembered.Rest in peace,Steve Kilpatrick,THS Science Department
