Robert C. Blaney Sr.

Robert C. Blaney, Sr., age 62 of East Taunton, passed away at home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Johnson) Blaney. Robert was born in Boston, a son of the late George and Lottie (Howell) Blaney. Before retirement, Robert was employed with Mill Pond Assisted Living in Taunton. He enjoyed painting, watching the NE Patriots, he loved to host people for cookouts and take over the grill. Most of all he was a devoted husband and father, grandfather and friend. Besides his wife Susan of over 40 years, he is survived by his children, Miles Blaney of Dorchester, Robert Blaney and Lynn Blaney both of East Taunton. He was the grandfather of Matthew, Jacob and Isabella, and the brother of George Blaney of NH, Lottie Ruthersord of Mansfield, Lawrence Blaney and Donnie Blaney both of Ayer, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 2 to 5 pm with a funeral service to begin at 5pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Marys Square) Taunton. (Additional parking with full handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.) Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to a charity of ones choice in Roberts memory, would be deeply appreciated.
