Albert Beckerman

Albert J. Beckerman, 76, died July 12, 2008, at the Treasure Coast Hospice Residence in Fort Pierce. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Port St. Lucie for the past 15 years, coming from Rosedale, N.Y. Before retirement, he was the owner of Canarsie Trucking Co. in New York City. Survivors include his daughter, Freda Carfagna of Port St. Lucie; son, Eric Beckerman of Wood ridge, N.J.; sisters, Judith Minkoff and Leatrice Johnson, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Beckerman and his brother, Allan Beckerman. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, South Florida Chapter, 3201 W. Commercial Blvd., Suite 127, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. July 14 at Byrd, Young & Prill in Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie.
