My wife Suzanne and I never met your son, but we feel your pain. We lost our son Jim similarly 6 years ago. Connecting with strangers who survived such a tragedy really helped us. Now we try to be there for others to help as best we can. Connect with us anytime you think talking might be of help. We're here for you.

I was a member of Central's DECA with Andrew. He was an incredibly sweet and intelligent boy who would do anything to help the people around him--a heart of gold--, and I am so upset by this loss, and it is a loss for those of us who knew him as well as those who didn't have the chance to meet him yet. I'll miss him, but I take comfort in knowing that he will continue on in his life of the next doing great things for God.
Life is eternal, and love is immortal,
and death is only a horizon;
and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I did not know Andrew, but lost my son the exact same way 4 years ago at age 19. I so wished we could all turn times back to explain to them, that these situations can all be solved! May Andrew rest in peace.

Dear John,
Please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your son Andrew. Having lost my own step-son at age 29, I know there are no words that can lessen the pain a parent feels. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers and may you be comforted by happy memories of Andrew during his brief 18 years.
God bless!
