Anthony Brown Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Brown, 74, died July 14, 2008, in Fort Pierce. He was born in Louisville, Ky., and moved to Fort Pierce in 1964, coming from Chattahoochee. He was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. Before retirement, he was a dentist in Fort Pierce for 27 years. He was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church. He graduated from the University of Louisville Dental School in 1963. Survivors include his wife, Janis R. Brown of Fort Pierce; daughter, Kelley Fields of Port St. Lucie; sons, Jay Brown of Gainesville, Kerrick Brown of Sumter, S.C., and Matt Brown of Orlando; brothers, Bart Brown of Fort Thomas, Ky., and Thomas Brown, Jim Brown and Joe Brown, all of Louisville; sisters, Janie Abell of Port St. Lucie, Mary Ann Quesenberry, Kathleen Kelley, all of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Brown and granddaughter, Ashley Escobar. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. July 18 at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, with a wake service at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. July 19 at St. Mark's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery with military honors. A guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com.
