Arthur Brewer Obituary

ARTHUR GORDON BREWER Arthur Gordon Brewer 81, died February 2, 2006 at his home in Rocky Point. He was born in West Orange, New Jersey, lived in Stuart for twenty five years, coming from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended West Orange High School and University of Delaware, was a member of the fraternities Theta Chi and Tau Beta Pi. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II, worked as a District Manager for Shell Oil Co. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, later was associated with three coal related business, Service Processing, Fluid Density and Hydraservice. Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathryn Ewing Brewer, daughter Krista McGovern, sonin-law Michael McGovern of Stuart and a son, Scot Burnham Brewer of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, a brother John F. Brewer of Braddoch Heights, Maryland. He is also survived by his loyal companions, Sara Lee, the Golden Retriever and Duffy, the Westie. He was Episcopalian and a member of Miles Grant Country Club for twenty five years. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. Services will be held at Saint George's Chapel in Sussex County, Delaware at a later date.
