C. McWaters Obituary

C. ARTHUR MCWATERS Born November 22nd, 1930 in Mount Kisco NY to Bertha and Andrew McWaters. Died May 6th, 2012, Stuart FL Art, as he was known, was a Sergeant in the Air Force and served during WWII and the Korean conflict, stationed in Japan. After the war he married and camped extensively with his young family. In 1966 the family moved to Vermont to run a campground/ ski area (Birdseye Mnt), where he built a log home and was employed in carpentry specializing in finish work. Later in life he moved to Cape Cod and met his great love Veronica. They shared homes in Manchester NH, Cape Cod MA, and their ultimate destination, Stuart FL (Miles Grant). Art worked at Mariner Sands Golf Club until the age of 79, starting there in 1997. He loved working with this hands and was proficient in many different disciplines. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and the Hobe Sound VFW. Art is survived by Veronica his wife of 30 years, brother John, sons Craig and Chris, Daughter Lyn, Stepdaughter Kirsten, Stepson Eric and ten grand-children and four great- grandchildren. He has gone ahead of the family, no doubt to tidy up and make sure that everything is in good working order. We love him and he shall be missed. He was a helluva nice guy, a great dad and a wonderful husband.
