Celeste Agnes Higgins

Celeste Agnes Higgins, 86, died Aug. 6, 2008, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Baltimore and lived in Vero Beach for four years, coming from Arnold, Md. She was a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore. She was member of the Society of Decorative Painters and charter member of their Chesapeake Bay Chapter. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. She was a 1944 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore. Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Ann Holt of Vero Beach and Mary C. Tomas of Arnold; sons, Edward J. Higgins of Ridgely, Md., and Vincent D. Higgins of Chestertown, Md.; brothers, Daniel Klinedinst of Leesburg, Claire Klinedinst of York, Pa., and Francis Klinedinst of York; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Higgins and brother, John Klinedinst. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. SERVICES: A memorial mass will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 12 at St. Helen Catholic Church. A celebration of life will be in Maryland at a later date. Arrangements are by Thomas S.
