I had the pleasure of working with Charlie at Amcore Bank in Rockford, IL, in 1987. He was also a friend of my mother, Jan Albert, also a Rockford Banker. Charlie always spoke of his Lake Home in Northern Wisconsin. As fate would have it, I was appointed the County Attorney for Vilas County in 2017, where Charlie's Lake Home was located. Sadly, I never got to see Charlie again in either Phelps or Eagle River, where I work. I do hope that perhaps I'll meet one of his children or grandchildren some day. I ask your forgiveness for this message, so late after his passing.
Peace, John R.(Jack) Albert
