Clarice Joyce Hamilton

Clarice Joyce Hamilton, 87, died May 28, 2012. She was born in Portland, Jamaica, West Indies, and she came to the United States in 1967 and became a U.S. citizen in 1974. She lived in Port St. Lucie for 24 years, coming from Bridgeport, Conn. She worked at Park Avenue Restorative Health Care in Bridgeport as supervisor for the housekeeping department for 20 years. Survivors include her sons, Desmond Hamilton of Bridgeport, Rowan Hamilton of Birmingham, Ala. and Bryan Hamilton of Milford, Conn.; daughters, Barbara Rodrigues of Margate, Elaine Johnson of Bridgeport and Devona "Donna" Lindsay of Port St. Lucie; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Lawson Hamilton. Services: Visitation will be at 5 to 8 p.m. June 8 at Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. June 9 at the First Congregational Church of Port St. Lucie. Entombment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
