Domenica Piumelli Obituary

DOMENICA "MAE" PIUMELLI Domenica "Mae" Piumelli, 90, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on November 5, 2014 after a long vibrant life. She was born March 13, 1924 in New York City and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 36 years. Mae was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. She enjoyed her friends and family, gardened daily and was an inspiration to many. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Piumelli Petrosa; sons, Fred (Dianna) Piumelli, Nicholas Vincent (Lori) Piumelli, Jr., Michael Patrick Piumelli; sister, Concetta (Anthony) Guerriero; brothers, Vincent (Loretta) Abbate and Rocco (Nancy) Abbate; 9 grandchildren; 3 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Vincent Piumelli and her daughter, Jacqueline Piumelli Napolitano. A visitation will be held Saturday, November 8th from 2 - 4PM and 7 - 9PM and again Sunday, November 9th from 2 - 4PM and 7 - 9PM at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM, Monday, November 10th at St. Helen Catholic Church followed by burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Ft. Pierce, FL. Oh dear. It saddened us to learn of Aunt Mae's passing. It seems we just spoke to her when Jackie passed. Please accept our sincerest sympathies. We are comforted with the hope that we will all be united again some day.
