EDWARD HART SULLIVAN Edward Hart Sullivan 87, passed away June 6, 2014 in Sar
asota, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joann Pagan Sullivan, daughter, Mary Jo (Mitchell) Willis, and his son, John Arthur (Bubba) Sullivan: Grand children, Joanna Rizzi, Charlotte Abrams, and John Kerry Edward Sullivan: Great grand children, Maxfield Leo Curran, Silas Hart Rizzi, and Tristan Jonathan Jude Abrams: Sister, Margaret Noelke: Nieces, Kathryn Baird and Beverly Becht: Nephews, Charles Noelke, Dennis Noelke, and Joseph Noelke, Jr. He was predeceased by his son, Kerry Edward Sullivan, and brother George Leo Sullivan. A Fort Pierce native, he graduated from St. Anastasia School. Mr. Sullivan served in the Pacific with the U. S. Navy in WWII as a cryptographer. He was part of the team that broke the Japanese code. While working on the Russian code he was asked to join the State Department. Instead he opted to leave the service and attend the University of Florida where he majored in Agriculture. After graduating in 1950 he spent 23 years with W. R. Grace & Co., rising to regional manager of Florida, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, The Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic. He later founded and was the CEO of Pioneer Ag Chem, Inc. which consisted of Diamond R Fertilizer Company, Ranch Fertilizer Company, Haile-Dean Seed Company, Hiatt Seed Harvesting, and SuperMag, LLC. He served on the board of NITRAM, Inc. Mr. Sullivan also founded and was CEO of Independent Agriculture, an International Chemical buying cooperative. He served many years on the board of Florida Fertilizer and Agriculture Association (FFAA). He will be buried at sea by the United States Navy. There has been a private family service in Sarasota, Florida. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may contribute to his only grandson, John Edward Kerry Sullivan, 3475 Gordy Rd. Ft. Pierce, Florida 34945.

Mrs. Sullivan,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences. It was truly a pleasure knowing Mr. Sullivan, he was a great man. I was really devastated to learn of his passing. May God give you strength and you will always be in our prayers.
