Eugene Gollett

Eugene Gollett, 84, died March 20, 2011, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. He was born in Lake Wales and lived in Fort Pierce for 56 years, coming from Fort Myers. He was an independent fruit contractor. He attended First Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Eric Gollett of Fort Pierce; daughters, Brigitte Bailey of Fort Pierce and Bessie L. Gollett of Orlando; brothers, Oscar Gollett of Dania and Alexander Gollett Jr. of Fort Myers; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Mae Hargrove; daughter, Loraine Lawton; brother, Jimmy Gollett; and sisters, Corrine Franklin and Mae Sanders. Services: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. March 25 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11 a.m. March 26 at the funeral home chapel.
