Franz, Melissa, and Malerie,

You are in my prayers. I just heard the news at work. I had no idea and would have definitely been at the service had I known, as would my family. None of us had any idea. My mom called in tears. Franzel was like a little brother growing up. I will miss him. I love you all and offer my sincerest condolences. God bless.

"Little Franz" as we used to call him, was not little at all. He was truly big in heart and in his service to God. We can only smile when we think of him standing there leading the church in song. For he is surely taking 'Just A Closer Walk With Thee'.

For my family...

PRECIOUS GIFT

I've a wonderful gift that was given to me

By someone I love ever so

'tis a precious thing all my own

That only my heart would know

Like the sound of his voice and the touch of his hand

And the devilish glint in his eye

'tis the memories he has bestowed within me

That help me now to get by

His laughter I hear again in my mind

And the playful tone in his voice

He'd have wanted to stay and comfort me

But alas, he had no choice

For his Father was calling' and he heard Him first

But I know He'll be back for me

He'll quench this longing I have in my heart

And reunite us again....you will see

And although I miss him I'm not ready to go

For I've things yet to do of my own

So his precious gift shall remain in my heart

'til we're together again in Our Father's Home

With much love....AC

On behalf of the Lake County School Board, I want to express our deep sadness to Larry, his brother and their families as they endure this tragedy. We are thinking of you and praying for you constantly. I am comforted that Franz knew Jesus and as difficult as this is, may the comfort of God's promise of eternal life give you strength and ultimately provide you with peace.
