George W. Butts

George W. Butts, 85, died Dec. 27, 2010, in Snellville, Ga. He was born in Helen, Ga., and lived in Okeechobee since 1945 before returning to Georgia in the past few years. Survivors include his sons, G.W. Butts of Lanier, Ga., and Richard Eugene Butts of Okeechobee; daughter, Betty Clark of Okeechobee; brother, Harold Butts of Demris Ga.; sister, Sylvia Ann Smith of Dacula, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Services: Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 31 at the Buxton Funeral Home Chapel, Okeechobee.
