I cant believe I havent seen George in 12 years! Time surely flies a bit faster than when I was younger. One thing I know for sure, I still miss that ever present smile and his strong words of encouragement. He made you want to play well for him. In fact, he always made you want to rise to the occasion for your team. Im a better person because of George.
Thanks Coach. You taught me well.

From all your friends in Minnesota, where George got his start in Coaching, a sad farewell to a terrific guy! We got to know George in Sakonnet thru Ginny & Al Durfee and we will never forget him. His wry sense of humor and his enduring friendliness was what we looked forward to seeing when we were in Sakonnet. Our love and sympathy to Heidi and family. We will never forget you George!

To all of the Truscotts and, of course, the Jebbs, so sorry to hear of the passing of "Boz". What a gem. And what an anchor of the Nichols community for these many years. Our memories will be savored, and George will be dearly missed.

Today I sent the Obituary to all of my out of town team mates, and each and everyone of them replied as to how Coach "Boz" Truscott touched their lives. In fact, each and everyone had replied how much of an impact that George had on their respective lives then and now. I echo the same feeling. Some of the people I notified, I have not talked to in decades. As Steve Nesbitt replied to me "Leave it to George to put us all back in touch!" We all will miss this great man who touched all of us.

nichols school has a long list of fabulous teachers and superb coaches, but none rank higher than my good friend and mentor, george truscott. as a teacher and a coach, he was simply inspirational. if you didn't give him your best in the classroom or on the ice, you truly felt as if you let him down. i learned so much from george. he was the best, and i'm gonna miss him alot.

Coach Truscott was a great teacher for me in sixth through eighth grades( Mr. Truscott, SIR) and a terrific hockey COACH during high school.( Secretly known as CHA CHA for his long strides and swivel hips.) Later he insisted that I call him George and became a friend and not only a coach and mentor. He is tremendously loved by all his former students and players. My fondest memories are of George and Heidi and all of the parents celebrating our Championship at Princeton my senior year at Nichols. I will see all the Truscotts in Buffalo at Westminister Church and share your loss.
