Hubert L. "Nappy Chin" Smith

Hubert "Nappy Chin" L. Smith, 82, died April 12, 2012, at Treasure Coast Hospice. He was born in Dublin, Ga., and lived in St. Lucie County for 57 years. He was a retired manager of the Pool Hall. He was a member of Non Denomination Faith Temple. Survivors include his companion, Johnnie Mae Franklin of Fort Pierce; daughters, Evelyn Smith of Dublin, Ga., and Carolyn Dudley of Las Vegas; brothers, Hilton Smith of Jacksonville and Arthur Smith of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 39 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Addie Collins; and a brother, Romaine Smith. Services: Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. April 20 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home.
