JAMES A. ALEXANDER February 12, 1933 - July 21, 2014 James A. Alexander, 81, passed away peacefully Mon
day, July 21, 2014 at Treasure Coast Hospice House, Fort Pierce, FL, after a long battle with cancer. He was born February 12, 1933, in Saint Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Geneva and Edward Alexander, five sisters, two brothers, and his eldest son, James Victor, Jr. He retired from the United States Army in October 1969 at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was a Past Master and Past Grand Secretary of St. Thomas Lodge #2, Prince Hall of KY. James is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Stick Alexander of Fort Pierce, FL; a brother, Edward Alexander (Kissimmee, FL), daughter, Gay Angela, son, Jerome Vincent Alexander (Louisville, KY), three grandchildren and six great- grandchildren, one great- great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that charitable donations be made to Saint Paul AME Senior Choir, Fort Pierce, FL.
