James Crouse Obituary

JAMES GRAHAM CROUSE James Graham Crouse, 84, succumbed to cancer Friday November 14th at his home in Vero Beach, FL. He was surrounded by family members. "Jim" was born and raised in Philadelphia. In 1952 he moved to Limerick, PA and started the Crouse Group, a Mechanical Engineering and Construction Company performing work in both nuclear and fossil power plants, industrial and commercial plumbing and heating, real estate construction, and fiberglass fabrication. Since retiring he divided his time between Limerick, PA and Vero Beach, FL. He was a World War II Veteran with 101st Airborne, an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow. He remained active in scouting his entire life culminating in serving as Chairman of the Valley Forge District, Boy Scouts of America. He attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he received his BS degree in mechanical engineering (class of 1948) and MBA in Business. He was part of the Drexel 100, naming him as one of the most outstanding graduates. He was a member of the Drexel Board for twenty years. He also was a board member Emeritus of Ursinus College, and Immaculata University. Jim is survived by Anne, his wife of 56 years, his daughter Sherron and her husband Stewart, his son Graham, his son Michael and his wife Christine. He was predeceased by his son James J. In addition, he is survived by eight grandchildren: Joseph, Scott, Michael, Linda, Jaime, Chris, Jonathan and Declan, and 20 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make any contributions to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
