Joel Lynn Patterson Joel Lynn Patterson, 46, of Vero Beach, FL passed away on October 13, 2007 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Mr. Patterson was born on September 11, 1961 in Decatur, IL to Thomas and Alice Patterson. He is the beloved husband of Anita for 29 years; caring dad of Andy, Heather, Josh (Kristine), Heidi and Hillary (David); loving "Papa" of Brieanne, Alex, Tyler, Jessica, Destiny and Deion. He is also survived by his mother; bothers Donald and Tim (Terri); niece Nikki (Jared); nephew Neil (Debra); mother-in-law Verneta Marchant; brother-in-law Kevin Marchant; and he is loved by many family and friends. Preceded in death by his father; father-in-law Maynard Marchant; and brother-in- law Terry Marchant. He has resided in Vero Beach for the past 23 years. He was a devout member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was the honest owner of Joel L. Patterson Painting and Pressure Cleaning, Inc. He will be remembered as an all around good guy with a unique sense of humor. Visitation will be Saturday October 27, 2007 from 4 to 6 p.m., and the service will begin at 6 p.m. at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses or toward the family medical expenses.
