John Olivi Obituary

John P. Olivi, 91, died April 11, 2010, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach. He was born in Senigallia, Italy, and lived in Sebastian for 20 years, coming from Fort Lauderdale. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian and American Legion Post 308 in West Hollywood. Survivors include his wife of 67 Years, Rose Olivi of Sebastian; son, John R. Olivi of Pembroke Pines; daughters, Janet F. Olivi of Davie, Lynn R. Brantley of Anthony, Karen Weitz of Gig Harbor, Wash.; sister, Libby Rizzi of North Bergen, N.J.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Gene, and Guy Olivi; sister, Blanche Olivi. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 1 to 1:30 p.m. April 13 at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, followed by a prayer service at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Sebastian Cemetery with graveside military honors being conducted by the Sebastian Area Veterans Honor Guard. A guest book may be signed at strunkfuneralhome.com.
