John Scola Obituary

John A. Scola, 82, died March 7, 2013, at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Port St. Lucie for 25 years, coming from Fort Lauderdale. He was a veteran, having served in the Marine Corps. Before retirement, he was a longtime employee of the Broward County Sheriff's Department. Survivors include his son, Paul Scola; and daughter, Francine Thomas, both of Port St. Lucie; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sarah G. Scola; and daughter, Gina Marie Albanese. Contributions may be made to Southeast Florida Honor Flight Inc., P.O. Box 1503, Stuart, FL 34995. Services: Will be private. Arrangements are by the Yates Funeral Home & Crematory, Port St. Lucie Chapel. A guest book is available by visiting www.yatesfuneralhome.com.
