Joslyn Binns Obituary

Joslyn Austin Binns, 89, died June 5, 2013, at Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce. He was born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, and lived in Port St. Lucie for 13 years, coming from Wildwood, N.J. Before arriving in the United States, he lived in England for 16 years. Before retiring, he was a self-employed sales representative in the tobacco industry for more than 10 years. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Port St. Lucie. Survivors include his sons, Granville Binns of Ocala, Patrick Binns of Paterson, N.J., and Errol Binns of Jamaica; daughter, Elaine Binns of Brooklyn, N.Y., Fay Binns of Paterson and Blassom Binns of Jamaica; sister, Joice Binns of Jamaica; brothers, Frankie Binns and Ronald Binns of England; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Binns; sons, George Binns and Kenneth Binns; brother, George Binns; and two granddaughters. Services: Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. June 21 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel. There will be a service at noon June 22 at First Congregational United Church of Christ. Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, A guest book is available at www.foresthillspalmcityflorida.com.
